Global Forum 2008

The 17th Global Forum took place on Tuesday 21st & Wednesday 22nd of October 2008 at Zappeion Palace in Athens, Greece.

Global Forum 2008 was organized by Items International in cooperation with the Foundation Sophia - Antipolis and the Hellenic Ministry of Economy and Finance, Special Secretariat for Digital Planning.

The Coordinator of the Center for eGovernment Program @SEE, Dr. Despina Anastasiadou, chaired the 8th Session of the event entitled: "Converging Technologies & e-Democracy" and presented the Program to the participants.

The Session stimulated an interesting dialogue among participants on issues related to modern tools and methodologies in e-Democracy, e-Participation and e-Governance in Particular.
